Holidays with a difference let you reconnect with yourself and those most important to you.

Discover a holiday away from it all in the middle of the French Provencal countryside. The views alone will leave you in awe. A Charming Country Hamlet where you can spend your days tucked away or easily explore the local sites, as the property are well-positioned for access to other key areas.

Tucked away on a small hillside is our little La Colle en Provence hamlet. You will not find traffic jams, city noises, pollution, parking tickets or a grey sky here. Instead, you will experience nature in all its glory and will, more than likely, be awakened by the birds, the bees or the chime of the cicadas rather than the busy cry of the city.

La Colle en Provence is a hamlet constructed 400 hundred years ago, entirely built of natural stone, and is an excellent example of the traditional life and times of Provence.

Within a five-minute walk in any direction, you are presented with the splendour of nature, prairie, forest, lavender fields, and scrub; the variety of plants and wildlife is astounding. Here, you can see and explore the bounties of living close to nature; you can taste and smell it and wonder at its beauty; even the storms are spectacular!

Our property alone has 30 hectares of private parkland, yet this is small compared to the adjoining natural space, some cultivated and some left just as it has been for centuries.

La Colle sits on the east face of a small hill ( Altitude: 633m ) and has a dominant view of the surrounding countryside.

Locally: Many things can be discovered; the principal town serving the area is Forcalquier, where you can find all the necessary ingredients to feast and enjoy. The quality and variety are exceptional. Two supermarkets and a host of small artisanal enterprises will tempt your tastes and smells. Many of the products have been produced locally: sundrenched flavourful tomatoes, authentic locally sourced lamb that has grazed naturally on the prairies and pastures, and, of course, a vast selection of high-quality cheeses and wines for which France is so well known for.

On Monday mornings,  Forcalquier hosts the central market in the area; here, you can be tempted by the multitude of edible products and local wares or sit and watch the world go by with a pleasant drink in one of the three main cafes on the market square.

Sigonce - You can walk to this typical Provencal village for croissants, small supplies, and a beer or so here. It's a walk down the track and then to the village.

Further a field in the area, there are hundreds of little villages and small towns to be discovered.
